Carolyn Jean (Lichte) Bueker

April 29th, 1952 - August 9th, 2022

Carol, 70, of Arnold, MO, passed away peacefully at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, MO, on Tuesday, August 9th 2022, surrounded by her family.

Carol was born on April 29th, 1952, in Lexington, MO. She was the daughter of Melvin and Lorraine (Vonau) Lichte. Carol graduated in 1975 from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. Carol married Roy Bueker in Boonville, MO on August 18th, 1973. They moved to Arnold, MO and had two children, Evelyn and Adam. Roy preceded her in death in 1992.

Carol had an incredible memory, and spoke fondly about growing up on a farm as a child, life with her cousins, memories with her brother, and attending church with her family where her father was a Reverend. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, gathered around the breakfast table, sharing memories and homemade meals together during holidays, birthdays, and playing board and card games. Carol was a member of the St. Lucas UCC where she was active for years in choir and women's fellowship.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine, her father, Melvin, and stepmother, Alberta (Grieshaber) Lichte. Before her birth, Carol was preceded by her infant brother, John Paul. She is survived by her brother, Richard R. L. and his wife Susan L; sisters-in-law, Ida B. A., Elizabeth G., Sue M. and her husband, Curt; daughter, Evelyn S. and her husband, Steven; son, Adam B.; nieces, Ragan H., Melissa L., Rachel L., and their families; and her grandson, Bond S. She also leaves behind several cousins and their families.

Memorial Service will be Thursday, September 15th, 2022, at 10:00am. St. Lucas United Church of Christ, 11735 Denny Rd, St. Louis, MO 63126. Interment will be in the afternoon at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lexington, MO.
